La La La – la chorale française de Melbourne – is a highly skilled community choir based in Northcote who aims to celebrate the joy of the French language through exploring a variety of music from the French-speaking world. Our repertoire includes songs in Corsican and Basque, music written by French composers and songs from Francophone countries in Africa and elsewhere.

La La La welcomes new members of all ages who can sing in tune and have some knowledge of the French language, but you certainly don’t need to be a fluent speaker! Help with pronunciation and translation is given by native French speakers and also guidance to help you learn to read music and improve your singing skills.

New members are invited to come along for two rehearsals to help you decide if you’d like to join the choir and if your voice is a good match. La La La prides itself on its warm and welcoming environment, group camaraderie, and sense of fun. Social activities include occasional dinners, barbeques or petanque afternoons
